I just bought a White iPod touch (8gb) today and I was really exited to get it up and running. I owned other touches in the past but none had this specific problem. THE COVER FLOW FEATURE MAKES IT CRASH!! Every time I use it to play music and turn it sideways it CRASHES! and returns to the home screen. Does anyone else have this issue? This is brand spanking new; purchased Dec. 26, 2011 @ 12:45 P.M.

Same Here

I got an White iPod Touch 4G, coincidentally the 8 gig model. I got mine for Christmas and I'm having the same issue. I'm trying to restore it and see if it'll work. You should try it also. If you don't feel like it I'll just post my results here when I'm done.

New Solution

I found out the problem. Don't restore your iPod. It's the artwork. Your artwork needs to be less then 500x500 pixels or it will crash. You need to manually change it.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

Thank you so much now I can finally use my iPod normally!! But I have to change at least 1000 songs art work!
Lol
