Anyone know if using the charging adapter supplied with iPad 2 will damage the battery of an iPod 3 ?
 
It will not damage the battery. The iPod will only take as much power as it needs, not all that's available.
 
Thanks Intell, That's what I thought but wondered why there was a different higher amp charger for the iPad - when away from home it would be nice to only pack the one charger.
 
It will charge quicker with the higher rated charger and vice versa.. The higher rating is because the battery on the iPad is significantly larger and presumably consumes a lot more battery so therefor you need a charger with higher rating to keep up charging while using it!

But you could practically use any charger on any of them without worrying of damage or such.
