Combo Drive Cable help!

if it is not SATA then it is IDE, or PATA.

I've just done what your thinking about doing.

I would recommend using an 'optibay' adapter for your MacBook. Look on eBay you will be able to find them cheap. This allows you to just use the cable that's already in the MacBook (the optibay adapter uses the same plug as on the optical drive.

Also you should install the ssd in the original hard drive bay, and the traditional hard drive in the optical bay adapter. This will improve ssd speeds and reliability.
