Persisting Problem Moving Itunes Libary

Hi,

i have a Mac Pro and i would like to move my libary to my windows pc.

thing is its 100gig. mostly music, some apps, 3 or 4 movies. all originally imported, nothing bought from itunes store nor amazon or similar.

there are some good tutorials on youtube how to move your libary from mac to windows and i followed that carefully, but it didnt work for me.

when i import the playlist i will get a message that some of the songs on the playlist cant be found. and then it doesnt show me any songs at all.

i have tried so many things that i am seeking for help. has anybody an idea what i could possibly do wrong here?

i have done almost all of that. i will do it once more, but this time i will use
organize library - consolidate files for the move to the external.
in some other tutorials seen on youtube (which seemed fairly professional) it wasnt shown with consolidate files, but rather then with copy paste.

this might be the reason for not showing the library however im logged in with the same account on my pc. it shows me all playlists and all APPS, but not the music itself.
location is correctly set.

anyhow i will try once more and see if consolidate files was the reason for that issue

Now i have tried it with the command consolidate files.
the import is happening, but i get a message that some of the songs couldnt be imported.

there are no songs shown in my windows itunes

these were the steps taken

1. change path on my mac itunes from local to external hdd
2. consolitade files (which copied them all on my external hdd)
3. export libary.xml

4. changed path on my windows itunes to external hdd
5. imported playlist there

apps are imported, but no movies and no music.

its frustrating
