MDP -> HDMI Adaptor to 40" LCD - Can't get native resolution?

Hey all,

So I just got an old Samsung LN-T4053H, which has a native resolution of 1366 x 768. In my display preferences, I have:

1080i
720p
480p
1024 x 576
800 x 600
640 x 480
640 x 480 (stretched)

So I'm not getting the crisp, undistorted picture I was hoping for. Is there anything I can do about this?
