Differences between the two 15" MBP models

Are there many differences between the 15" 2,2 gHz and the 2,4 gHz, because the 2,4 is much more expencive than the 2,2. Is there like very much difference in speed?

read the specs between the two what do you think?

of course not. unless ur gonna do app intensive things, u wont notice a diference .2 difference
 
The main difference is in the GPU. The 2.4 GHz model has a GPU that is a step up from the 2.2 model. The GPU also has double the RAM on it, which should give a solid boost in gaming and make it a much more future-proofed GPU.

In terms of regular use, if you're not a gamer or use software that highly utilizes the GPU, you would be better off with the 2.2 GHz model.

How much would you say Photoshop CS5.5 uses GPU?
 
I like being able to play games on my PC without it slowing down. But is it so much difference that it's wort the extra money?
 
Theres not a huge difference in performance. Even in gaming, unless your using an external monitor, your not going to notice much of a difference.
 
Differences:

Faster CPU (roughly 10%)
Faster GPU (6770 vs. 6750, small difference) with twice the video ram (1 GB vs. 512 MB)
750 GB vs. 500 GB hard disc

There will be a performance difference, but it won't be huge... both will be able to handle the same games with very similar settings, and a small fps difference.

I money is not a big issue, upgrading to the faster model is nice. If money is tight, the base model will be just fine, and other updates (high-res screen, SSD) should get higher priority.
