This has happened a few times to me now and my friend is currently going thru it, so I'm trying to find out the latest instructions on how to fix the following:
You get a text message and you notice that instead of the person's name at the top all you are seeing is their telephone number. The text is from a person you know that's in your contacts that you've texted with many times before. Somehow the phone loses the ability to connect the telephone numbers with the names in the Address Book, even though it was working fine before.
I suggested that he try restarting his iPhone and turning off iCloud and turning it back on, but these haven't helped.
Any other ideas?
For me, I've fiddled with settings with no luck and then after some time I simply notice that things are back to normal on their own. My friend however has been stuck with this for a couple of days now.
