I use a white MacBook 5,2 but it is getting a bit tardy. I am thinking about getting an SSD to see if that helps performance, but if it doesn't, I would like to use the SSD at full pelt in a MacBook Pro that I plan on buying in the future.

My MacBook supports 3Gbps according to System Profiler, but will a SSD like the one below work in my current MacBook?

To close this thread, I bought a Crucial M4 256GB SSD and it works fine trundling along in my MacBook at 3 Gbps.

TRIM not supported in 10.6.8.
