I've got about 600 tracks in my iTunes library but most don't have the Year field complete. Those that do are mainly from compilations - so show the year that the compilation came out instead of the actual release year of the track.

Are the any apps or scripts that will go through your iTunes library and auto complete the Year field with the correct year that the track came out?

Lots of "scraper" applications out there, with Tune Up being one friends recommended to me. I'm a bit of a control freak with regards to my music so I add pretty much all info manually.

You can download Tune Up for free and let it scan your library and it will give you a percentage of how much work your library needs. For a 20,000 song library I was on 98%. I was devastated about that 2% lol

If you want to make use of Tune Up, properly, there is a fee.

I've used Media Monkey on Windows PC's in the past, but always ended up doing the work myself.
