Visual voicemail for iPhone?

I am leaving android today and picking up my 4s and I have question about visual voicemail. Does iPhone have there own visual voicemail or does Verizon want you to pay or there's ? Which I won't. I used Youmail and it worked great

In the UK is based on the operater. I think only o2 have it in the UK.
