Do I really need a developer account?

VBulletin Mobile will create an app.
I just want to put my app up on my site for download.
Do I still need an acct. or can I just put the app on my forum for download?

Apple doesn't even allow you to test an App on an iOS device without a Apple Developer Account.

You can't just put your App on your site and let users download it either.

You (or someone acting on your behalf) will need to get the Apple Developer Account.
