Will iTunes sync audiobook location between two Macs?

I listen to audiobooks. Narrate them too actually. I have two macs and an iphone. Getting the books on to my iphone is not a problem but syncing my play location between my macs is problematic. I wondered if any one here knew of a solution? I'm running 10.6 on both of my Macs with no real desire to upgrade to 10.7--UNLESS iCloud would solve this problem.
