Hi.
I have around 40k pictures and 2k events in my iPhoto library. It feels quite a bit slower than in the beginning, especially when opening the edit sidebar and searching... so I'm just wondering if Aperture would offer any significant speed improvement?

And if it does, it Aperture also well integrated into Lion and iTunes (e.g. syncing of Albums to the iPhone etc.)?

Thanks.

FWIW, Aperture has a free 30-day trial, if you want to kick the tires yourself.

It's been a few years since I migrated from iPhoto to Aperture -- I don't remember the relative speed increase. However, I couldn't live without the organizational freedom that Aperture gives me. There was definitely a learning curve, but for me, it was well worth it.
