The head was found in a plastic grocery bag.

In other news, O.J.Simpson was seen in a grocery being asked "paper or plastic".

It is just so hard to get rid of human bodies.

Burying: hard digging and suspicious mounds attract people.
Vats of acid: Where in hell do you buy 55 gallons of acid without suspicion?
Throwing off to side of road: Highway workers always find them.
Fire: you need a huge, hot, long-lasting fire that smells like BBQ. Nobody will notice that.
Throwing in water: ask that Peterson guy how that worked. They always pop up
Dragging to remote area: all these hikers and their pesky dogs.
Hoffa Burgers: who has access to a giant industrial meat grinder?
Scattered parts: Always seem to get found. And hideously messy.
