Intel HD 3000 v.s. 9600M GT/9400M Combo

I currently have a late 2009 17" MBP with a 2.66Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 8GB of ram and a 9600M GT/9400M combo GPU set. I use my computer for gaming quite a bit in both OSX and Windows 7. I am thinking if upgrading to a current 13" MBP because the 17" is too clunky. My question becomes can the Intel HD 3000 graphics in the newer models compete with my current set up. I play games such as Skyrim, Borderlands, Arkham Asylum, and TF2 to name a few and they all run at low/medium/high settings depending on the game.

Any help/info is appreciated.

I was playing Skyrim on my 320M, and at low settings, no lag(overclocked). With HD3000, I got some lag and its the 13" i7. But thats just me.
