Lion iCal Attachments - Missing?

I started using iCloud (specifically for Find My Mac). I stupidly included my calendar. Now all the attachments in my calendar events are long gone. Had I known that this would have happened I would have NEVER selected this option when selecting/setting up iCloud. I do want to use this feature for Find My Mac and iPhone, but is there any easy way of getting back the option of attaching files to calendar events?
