iPod 4th gen iOS 5 sync on iBook PPC MAC ! Apple says no but..

Numerous times I have been told NO I cannot sync a new iPod touch 4th gen iOS 5 with my PPC chip G4 iBook.
I have searched to find nothing regarding this anywhere.....
I am a 10+years long Mac user and this is great news for me with my old PPC iBook 1.33ghz OSX 10.5.8 iTunes 10.5.3...

I do notice some features such as airsync are dulled out but so far music , apps have done well.

btw has anyone else noticed iTunes mispelled as iTune , on remote app set-up

I AM VERY HAPPY. :)
