I bought my air back in October 2010 without purchasing AppleCare. Anyone know of where I can get a replacement battery or what are the prices? From apple/other sources?

Apple is the only reputable place to buy replacement batteries. It costs around $100 US, although I'm sure a quick google search could give you the exact price.
