Help Amplitube won't save

I just got amplitube 3, and I love it but I can save but when I go to open and find the file it just won't open. Please help. U am runnign a intel macbook intel core 2 duo 1gb of ram and 10.5.8. It is really annoying to deal with becuase I get all mypedals and everything set where I want them and then bang when I close its all gone. I am running a elecrtic guitar threw a amp then into my mac book microphone jack. I'm not using a pedal or any other peripherials then that.
