iPod touch Need to jailbreak a brand new iPod 4G with 5.0 os

I bought a brand new iPod 4G instead of my broken one, it has 5.0 iOS, and I want to jailbreak it unteathered.
Should I connect it to iTunes > update to 5.0.1 > and just jailbreak it with redsn0w??

do I have to save any blobs? if yes how can I do it with non-jailbroken device?

P.S: I'm using Mac XOS:apple:
 
Don't forget to make a backup in iTunes before you decide to run red snow as well. Just in case something happens or you just don't want to be jailbroken anymore!
 
Thanks guys .. but it's brand new (empty) .. there's no need to backup!
I downloaded the update, now i'll start jail breaking :D
