Apple In Store Pickup query

Hi folks,

I'm thinking of getting a BTO Mac Mini off the website and picking it up in the 5th Avenue store. I was wondering:

1. How accurate is the Apple website's delivery date?
2. Any idea how long the store will hold your items for you to collect?

I'll be touring the East coast and NYC will be my last destination so I'm trying to time the Mac Mini to arrive either the day before or on the same day I do in NYC. I'll be there for a week so it'll give me a little time incase I, or the Mini gets held up.
 
Picking up @ Apple Store

Very accurate ETA for shipping in my experience. If your shipping Fed Ex
Ground, 2 day or next day, your online order will tell you what day it will
arrive. I would plan on pick up the day after it arrives.

Schedule the pick-up date one day later than the delivery date to ensure the availability of the mini for your pick-up.
