Hi All,

I know this has come up a lot, but I need some help connecting my MacBook to my TV, please.

I have an older MacBook so sound isn't sent through the HDMI. I have an HDMI cable and an 1/8th inch jack to stereo audio cable going into my LG 50pt350. The video works when I have the TV on HDMI input and the audio works when I have the TV on AV2 input. I wonder if anyone knows if I can get them to work at the same time.

Thanks in advance for your help!
Patrick

The explanation in that post is what Ive done, and I only get one or the other because I have to choose which Input Im using on the TV.

First, only one of the (?five) HDMI sockets will be paired with the PC audio input. It will probably be marked HDMI(DVI).
Second, the PC audio input will probably be a 3.5mm stereo jack socket and NOT a pair of RCA sockets.
Nothing I can see on the LG website about the 50PT350 conflicts with this advice, good luck!
