psf (z:) psf (y:) explained?

I know this is probably going to sound a stupid question but here goes. I am running Parallels 6 on my iMac and have got folder sharing setup. When I go into Explorer in Windows 7 I can see my Time Machine external HD and folders psf (z) psf (y) besides the Windows C: drive. Can someone explain the z and y folders to me including how I use them as the contents look the same? :confused:
