Hey everyone, so I ran into a strange problem today, due to a unique set of circumstances. I purchased a new XFX 6870 to install in my 1,1 Mac Pro. Now since its not officially supported I don't get any boot screen, or any screen until the computer is booted up. I'm fine with that, however it means if I want to boot into windows I'll have to boot into OS X, change my startup disk and reboot, also fine.

When I booted for the first time and pulled up my startup disk's, ONLY my Lion disk shows up! Not the EFI, recovery HD, or Windows. I re-installed my old card, and found the same problem. However if I hold down alt (with the old card) I can see all 4 options and boot into any of them just fine. However because the new card offers no screen until booted I can't use the alt method. I've also tried doing it with a blind boot, but it seems to hang when I hold alt while booting with the new card, so that's out too.

Finally, I can't flash the card, as my Mac Pro 1,1 has a 32 bit EFI (64 bit computer my ass Apple) so that's not an option either.

The only route I can see here is to figure out why OS X doesn't see my other (bootable) partitions!

Oh, and it sees Windows in the finder, I can open the drive, browse around, etc. etc. it just don't see it as a startup disk, when booted in OS X. Any thoughts???
