Has YT changed or tweeked their system to stop the video downloads?

I know it was Activity Window > Look for file

That no longer works... At least for me.

Anyone also having the same problem?

Are you on the YouTube HTML5 trial? If so, leave the trial to use the Activity Window to download the video.

I was able to d/l this video but newer ones like GaGa I can't.

I just right-clicked on the video and got this, which worked:

Yep, Safari. I'm on Leopard with Safari 5.0.6, but it also works on Snow Leopard with Safari 5.1.2.
 
Sorry, meant Snow Leopard w/ Safari 5.1.2.

I've tried over 10 videos and I do not get the Download option.

Edit: Also trying Jaksta and even that software is not working.
 
Is there something new with youtube? I used to be able to click on the file in activity window. It seems to work better with the hd videos (mp4 files). I noticed there is more trouble with the flv files. Any advices?

Did you try the suggestion in post #4?
 
Everybody probably already knows, but you can just use websites that look up these links for you and make it a clickable URL. I like keepvid.com.

I believe you can also add something to the URL, like

https://www.youtube.com/awesomevideo

to

saveyoutube.com/awesomevideo
