Hello,
I am using my MB to display streamed content of movies on my LCD TV. I use the micro DVI port, with a DVI - HDMI adapter to clone the display.
Everything went well for the past couple of years, but since the 10.7.3 upgrade, as soon as the micro DVI plug is inserted, the resolution switches to an unusable state (most of the screen is black with huge icons being displayed when activated, e.g. dock icons).
I have been trying to look for similar issue reported or similar problems but couldn't find anything. I am wondering if anyone has been facing this issue, or if could recommend some steps to fix it, beyond reverting to 10.7.2...
Thanks,
Fitsu.

I managed to solve the problem as follows. Somehow, it appears Lion 10.7.3 desynchronized the mouse frame and the display frame. I could use my mouse only in a very limited frame, whereas the display appeared to be too big, i.e. in a different scale. The mouse and the dislay were not using the same window or size... When using the mouse further in the small mouse frame, I realized that I could access open some of the dock meny or some of the menu bar drop down list. Of course they would be displayed in the big screen frame - not aligning with the mouse position.
Therefore with the mini-DVI unplugged (to have a normal display on the MB lid) I activated the display within the menu bar, then after pluging in the micro-DVI, I tried to find where the display bar menu was, and deactivated the mirroring option. When re-activating it again, the problem was gone, but somehow my MB became muted. Rebooting it solved the issue.
Hope this can help anyone facing the same pb.
Cheers,
Fitsu.
