So I got a trip coming up to Denver and wanted to know what there is to do there? I'll initially be out in Keystone/Breckenridge for snowboarding however I'll be making my way back to the downtown Denver area for a couple days as well. Never been to Denver so not sure what there is do. Looking for any recommendations of places to visit, places to eat, etc. I'll have a rental car so driving here and there won't be an issue. Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm not a Denver resident, but I've visited there. So from a tourist's perspective:
Drive to Estes Park and check out the area in general and the Stanley Hotel in particular.
Hike around Cherry Creek Resevoir, near Aurora.
Drive through the front range, for example highway 7 south out of Ester Park, down to Golden.
Walk the Pearl Street mall in Boulder and gawk at the hippies.
Count all the prairie dogs you see.
Visit Garden of the Gods near Colorado Springs, then drive to the top of Pikes Peak.
Go to a Colorado Avalanche hockey game.
Hoof it around downtown for a very metropolital feeling.
Check out the area near Washington Park for neat early-1900s architecture.

Head on down to South Park gotta have yourself a time
Friendly faces everywhere, humble folks without temptation
Go on down to South Park gonna leave your woes behind
Ample parking day or night, people spouting "howdy neighbor!"
...

And forget about prairie dogs, as they are smart and hibernate with there is snow on the ground! loL!

Music venues like the Ogden and Fillmore
Natural science mueseum is nice
Pepsi center for an avs or nuggs game
Lodo for nightlife
They also have art galleries and feativals every 1st weekend I believe

In addition as you are close, check out boulder and the flatirons
Also see pearl street in boulder

Estes is ok but it is a good 2 hrs from Denver and very touristy
Though if you do may as well go see rocky mountain national park and hike around bear lake:)
