Hi there

My Macbook Pro crashed some weeks ago. Panic rapport was:
Kernel trap at 0x00b5ec1e, type 14=page fault

It is four years old. Using Mac OS X Leopard. I added 8 GB ram six months ago.

I am able to start the computer and get to my desktop, but I am not able to manage anything. It is locked. And shows the same panic report. At the same time the screen has a flair of magenta and flashes in white colours.
The crash happened after my boyfriend tried to open 200+ raw files in Photoshop. I stopped the proces and started to open them in Photomecanic, that is when the crash occured.

What to do?

I would really like to recover some files from the hard disc.

Looking forward to hear from you guys.

That panic information is insufficient. You may want to post whole kernel panic report here. Then someone may analyze it for you.
