Hi all,
I have a 2011 iMac, and I've noticed that when I click "get info" on my hard drive it says I have roughly used 260 gb of space on the drive. I find this odd because when I checked the size of the backups I have on my external hard drive, they're only about 85 gb. I expected my hard drive on my iMac to have less than 100 gb of space used on it, do you guys have any idea what could be taking up the other 160 gb of space? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for the help! I used disc inventory x, and I found a "private" folder that has 168 gb document. Is this something thats necessary? Or can I delete this? It seemed kinda sketchy.
Thanks

Thanks! Do you know of any way to keep them from coming back? I appreciate all your help.
Thanks

Not really. Just keep an eye out for them via DiskInventory X, and if they return, you can look for more help.
