I just got a replacement ipone 4s. My original one had a weird issue with the display.

The replacement was the last white 32gb one they had in stock. When he went to turn it on nothing happened. He plugged it in and it started charging. It took a good 10 minutes before it would even turn on. I mean the thing had NO charge...

Did that hurt the battery at all? Or will it be ok?

There are a million theories on Li-Ion. You will soon see many of them posted here. Having dealt with high, med and low capacity Li-Ion, Li-Po batteries, don't worry. Charge it up and use it. Some phones come with no or low charge. No problem. That's it.

My 64gb iphone 4s from apple care replacement had no charge as well. I hope it didn't harm the battery. It's probably been sitting there with no charge for about a month.

It's fine. If it discharged low enough the battery would just not come on.

Ok great. As soon as he plugged it in the battery icon appeared on the screen. So it should be find then.
