I had avoided upgrading to Lion (on my MBP running Snow Leopard) because I had heard that I would no longer have my iDVD. Now I am hearing that I can still run my iDVD after Lion upgrade.

Is this true? If so, I would like to upgrade?

And, does anyone know, if you get a new mac computer (that would come without iDVD), would you be able to load iDVD from the old install disc that came with Snow Leopard?

Thanks for the suggestion.

I was just looking at the download file, the version 7.1.2, and it downloaded a disc image file (.dmg) rather than a new setup file. If I ever lost iDVD, I suppose I could not use that download alone to reinstall it, right?
