Can't update apps

Hi, I am currently using an iPhone 4 iOS 5.0.1 and every time i tried to update an app it gives me an "Unable to Download Application...". The only way to update is to delete the apps and re-installing it completely, which is annoying since i have many apps on my phone... Can someone help?
