iPhone 4 can't handle jailbreak !?

I have just jailbroken my friends iphone 4 and now it seems that the phone can not handle the jailbreak . It is running iOS 5.0.1 . I have read on these forums and every one says that there i4 handles it great ! When swiping through the pages on the homescreen it lags badly ! Any help ?
 
My friend has installed a couple of Hello Kitty themes, Winter Board, Swipe Type, and that is it ! But when I was done jailbreaking it I remember playing with it and it was fast as can be ! But now since she has installed a couple packages it has become really freaking slow ! I have a 4s myself and I downloaded some themes, Swipe Type, and AssistantExtensions , It is still very fast .
 
My guess is Winterboard is the culprit. Try disabling it (you shouldn't have to uninstall it) and see how it goes.
 
I will do that tomorrow when I see her :) Quick question .. How do you display what kind of apple devices you have as your .. "Signature" if that is what you call it .
 
Yeah, if that is the case, she'll just have to put up with the lag until they release an update of Winterboard or just kill hello kitty all.


About signatures -

1) Go to the "User CP" link. (It's under the MacRumors logo Top-Left)

2) On the left side-bar find "Edit Signature", click that and enter what you want and save.

One other thing...

Make sure you install "weekillbackground" or similar if you haven't already. And make sure she knows to use it. I have many friends complaining how slow their phone is running and 99% of the time they have a million apps in the background and don't know you can clear them.
 
it is winter board but i like my noki hd theme too much to disable winter board and the slight lag is no biggie.

The only lag i do get is a slight pause before an app opens.
I have no lag with scrolling thro home pages.

You might wanna look at installing the barrel app as this has been reported to help with what your having.

Lets hope winter board is looked at in the near future.

On the forums/website or on your iphone? If on the website, "USER CP", "EDIT SIGNATURE". If you mean on your iphone, "SETTTINGS", "MAIL", "SIGNATURES".

Like i said i have no lag when scrolling on my home screens or the net.

Ive just noticed it takes a tad bit longer to open apps !

A lot of chatter on the net and other forums concur about winter board and also that certain tweaks could be the issue too.

I un installled winterboard and this slight lag went, but i like my themes so it had to be re installed !

however I've not loaded up my ip4 with a lot of tweaks yet.

winterboard
activator
barrel
five column sb
siri hands free control
siri launch
spire
springtomize 2
ifile
aptbackup
sb settings


Themes.

Noki hd
Black ups




Ive searched and cannot find any recorded issues with the above I've downloaded, apart from what I've said about winterboard.

My iPhone 4 is a 16gb with 8.2gb free.
