Want to use my iphone as a monitor

I am asking how if there is any way to use my iphone to display video shots from external camera or live streaming from external cam ... actually I want to use it as a screen display for my cam in my car ,,, Any help ????
The only thing i can add to this, is i use an indoor security camera that i can view live from my iphone4 while away. If this is anything to your interest/need, you can look at D-Link
But, if your talking about your already purchased external cam, I don't know of any.
