Hi guys!

Soooo would you like to see the Apple logo illuminated for the iPad 3? - You know like it is on the Macbook :)

- Ive always been a little disappointed over the boring "solid" logo on the iPhone and iPad... It would be SO Awesome to have the option to "turn on" an illuminated logo :p
- Maybe even one, that will light up when you have new notifications...

Is this really just something I would LOVE to see? :)

- Or would you guys maybe even prefer to have a solid apple logo on the macbook instead of the illuminated?

No. I really don't care if people can spot that I'm using an Apple product from 50 feet away.

Thats why I wrote that it could be turned off/on - and maybe be used for notifications :)

WEEEEELL isnt this poll going well for "team illuminate" hahahahaha :D

The Macbook logo glows from the light of the LED backlighting.

With all the components behind the iPad's screen, that would mean that there would have to be a separate LED behind the logo to light it up. I used to think that'd be cool but I think it would end up being tacky compared to the Macbook, which is just seamless and automatic.

i see no reason for an illuminated apple logo on an iPad. adding an LED flash and allowing that to have notifications like the iPhone would be nice though.

....

Ohhh im not gonna lie, I think im fightning a losing battle :p - mostly because im the 1 :p haha

But I get your points, and just to be clear, it has not and will never be a "make it or break it" for me :p haha

It would be cool on my iPad, but not at the expense of lost power consumption or taking up more space inside the casing.

Now, I think it could be more practical on the iPhone if used for notifications alerts.

But you're less likely to see it on the back of your device. If anything they should put a notification light in the home button.

It works on the MacBooks because it's right behind the screen and is lit by the same light that illuminates your display. There's a small problem on the iPad in the form of a giant battery located between the display and the Apple logo.

I voted no because it would reduce the battery life.

Now if Apple could make it emit a very soft light and "breathe" for notification purposes, then maybe yes. But I still think a notification LED would work better.

Do you normally put your iPad face down on a surface? Otherwise I can't see how a 'breathing' logo would be of much use to anyone...

It would be NICE to have an illuminated Apple Logo. Is it necessary? No. Would people still buy it? Yes

Would be 100 percent unnecessary and too flashy. It would just scream "LOOK I HAVE AN IPAD!"

I cover my macbook apple logo with a black vinyl cutout of the Apple Logo to eliminate the illumination. Its an elagant look but its also pretty obnoxious and pretentious.

No need; safe the space for a better camera or battery.

Actually last time on my MBA it was disturbing when the sun was shining through the Apple logo. It was too visible on the screen itself.
