I have a 17" 1.8ghz G5. These were known to have problems with blown circuits on the motherboard. I dont recall the name of the parts (tranducers?), but i hear they can be fixed cheap with a solder iron and 2 30$ parts. Anyone have any experience with this? As always, thanks in advance.

You want an iMac G5 Capacitor Kit. There are different ones for different models. They are pretty cheap but take a lot of work to desolder the old caps and solder the new ones.
