Naming a shared folder differently

I would like to use Beyond Compare on a Windows PC to compare two home directories, shared over my network. One of the home directories is on my Macbook, the other is on an external drive. Both have the same name.

Is there any way to differentiate them, because connecting from Windows both look like

Mac ip address\home directory name.

Thanks!

(nb reason for using Beyond Compare is it's one of those small band of Windows programs which really humiliates any Mac equivalents).
