I'm using the credit card number [XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX / XXX]. When trying to use it, I get an error message saying the credit card number is invalid.

The credit card number you entered is not a valid number for the type of credit card you selected. Please correct your credit card information. The credit card number you entered is not a valid credit card number.

The number IS valid. Is there any way I can skip this step? :apple:

To create an Apple ID you can enter NONE as cc info and even use iTunes gift cards to redeem; might be safer for you !!

Has it always been this way? I honestly don't remember making an AppleID but it was so long ago who knows. I miss my .mac account!
