not able to power off Iphone 4, jailbroken?

I've been fooling around with trying to find a nice lockscreen using Cydia but while doing that i'm not able to power off my phone, when i hold my power button all that comes up is the CANCEL button on the bottom, the arrow to turn off phone never appears, can anyone help me as to how to undo what i have obviously done?

hold power and home button simultaneously for about 10 seconds. it should reboot.
