Hello guys,

I want your opinions on this ipad 2 16gb wifi I am planning on buying for $320. It's in like-new condition without any scratches and the warranty is good until Dec 2012. Should I pull the trigger? Oh btw, I am buying it from a person on CL.

Thanks and please let me know how you guys think!

;)

Yes that's a very fair price if in fact its in mint condition. Can you ask them how long they've had it?

Bc if you buy refurb one, they replace the battery.

thanks for the reply. The 1 yr warranty ends on dec 21 2012 so he must've had it for about 2.5 months. Is it still a good buy?

apple.com had few in the refurbished store for $300 today with full warranty.

Might want to check that out. But I would go for the iPad 2 for $350.

an ipad 2 16gb refurb comes out be about $380 including tax and the CA recycling fee.. hmmm isnt it quite new if he only used for about 2 months?

Oh 2 months is still new! :D didn't see that in your original start post. People do exaggerate or lie do just be careful ;) good luck w whatever you decide.

I think once the iPad 3 comes out and people see the Retina Display in person, it will drive the prices down even further. A lot of people are still holding onto their iPad 2 since they feel like it isn't worth upgrading. But once people see the iPad 3 in person with the Retina Display and how crisp it is, I think it will push everyone over the edge to upgrade and the market will get even more flooded than it is now.

Verify the warranty length by checking the serial number. If at all worried, go refurbished, because that will have FULL warranty, and all new accessories, battery, and back case.

That sounds about right to me. eBay is buying them for $290 and Amazon for $320, so that seems like a reasonable price to me.

Sure you're not mixing up the ipad and ipad2? First is $300 refurb, second is $350 refurb.

Apparently with a DiscoverCard credit card you can save 5% at Apple.com -- not valid on the new iPad though. Go to ShopDiscover.com and find their link to Apple.com, use it to buy the refurb, get 5% cash back in a few weeks according to Discover. Sales tax here is 6% so 5% cash back makes it effectively a wash.
