I ordered a leather smart cover with my new iPad and it doesn't press flush against the screen when attached in the closed position. It works fine in any of the other positions but it looks like the difference in the curve on the back of the iPad might be contributing to this?

Does anyone else have this problem or do I just have a bad smart cover.

the smart cover attaches on the side so the curvature of the back would not contribute to the front at all.

I think you may just have a faulty smart cover  Exchange it :D

Actually never mind this post. It looks like the problem was with one of my smart cover hinges not rotating correctly
