Just got home from the Apple Store at The Grove in Los Angeles, waited about 2 hours?
I LOVE the retina display! Everything is crisp and clear!
I first got my slip for a 16 GB Verizon Black.. While waiting I asked to switch to AT&T... Now that I'm home and downloaded about 10 smallish apps..

I'm now having buyers remorse.. Those 10 apps already took 1 gig so I'm down to 12 GBs... I haven't even finished downloading AND putting some music..

I think I might go back and exchange it for a 32 GB Wifi... Ive always boughten the 16 GB Wifi since the first iPad and I wanted to switch it up this time and get a carrier one but now I'm thinking, am I honestly gonna use it out where I won't have wifi? That AND I definitely want more space!

Anybody else having buyers remorse?

No. 64 Verizon. Will have it for a long time. If nothing else you have GPS. Just stop obsessing.

I downloaded a handful of apps, a couple of large games

Its already taking up 5gb of space!

Good thing I opted for the 32gb today and selling the 16gb I have on order when it arrives

Garageband was 800mb alone!

Nope. Just opened my AT&T 64 gb model and typing from it right now. Very pleased so far, and compared to my mama's iPad 2 screen this is a gem. :D

You should edit the title of your thread to include "16GB" or something; right now it looks like you regret your purchase of the new iPad in general.

10 apps taking up 1GB means they're all roughly 100MB; that really doesn't sound all that bad to me. I'm not an app-a-holic though so maybe I'm not the best judge.

It's absolutely awesome. Forums like these were pretty pixelated at default zoom and sometimes forced a slight zoom in. On the new iPad, small text looks astonishing. I've got good eyesight so it's great not having to zoom to avoid pixels.

I think you'll find 10 smallish apps hardly take any space,
it's just the overhead out of the box, it does not start with 16GB free.

You can attach to itunes to see the space being used by the apps.

If your going to take videos and edit them with iMovie then maybe go with a bigger model than the 16GB , unless you don't mind moving files to a computer more often.

No need for remorse; you're well within the exchange/return period. Just take it back and get a higher capacity wifi model in its place.

This is want i'm curious about. Does the increased resolution enable small (10") screens mimic a much larger screen?

I mean this sincerely, and not just because it's cool, or a gotta have new thing (which can distort even the most objective perceptions).

The iPhone did not convince me of this as it's a little thing.

That's what I love. Small text is amazingly legible. No need for silly pinch and zoom our double tapping.

That's my plan also. After reading some of the reviews for app sizes, I decided we needed the 32GB version instead so I went to line up at around 4:30 this morning.

The order for the 16GB units haven't arrived yet (10:18AM now).

I agree. Unless you find yourself needing the 4g. Most are fine with out it. There are many threads where people decided to do just get wifi this time.

I got 32g wifi.

FYI I live in West Hollywood and LTE/3G is AWFUL!! It only shows 1 bar!
I'm definitely going back and exchanging for a 32GB Wifi.
Hmmm maybe I'll get white instead.. Lol

Don't do it, bro...

You will find that the LTE/3G will come in handy for you when you least expect it. I am in West Hollywood all the time and haven't noticed a problem with my ATT 3G service, but I can tell you that if you exchange it for a Wifi only, you will probably regret it.

It really does come in handy.

As far as the white iPad is concerned, that's a matter of personal taste, but I've always felt that the white border distracts the eye from the screen...and the black gives the illusion of a bigger screen.

I got 4g, but the only reason is so that when I go abroad I can buy a local sim card. I'm not sure where I'll be during my trips, so it made sense for me. Though until then it is pretty much a useless feature that I paid for.

Same here. I travel abroad so I need to be able to just pop in a sim wherever I am.

get yourself the 64 or at least the 32.
16 is way small for new apps that will coming out.
