First, the split screen keyboard on the iPad is so sick.

I have the 4g Verizon iPad. Where is this microsim slot I keep reading about? And if I want 4g, the best way to sign up for it is through my settings? I don't want recurring charges or an activation fee. I want to spend my twenty and be done thirty days from now. How do I make it happen?

No such thing as a stupid question. The micro Sim slot is located on the left side of the iPad right beneath where the smart cover attaches if you have a smart cover. You'll see a tiny little hole for you to insert a paperclip or the MicroSim tool which will have a tray pop out for you to remove the Sim card.

As for the best way to sign-up for your mobile plan I would recommend just calling Verizon.
