Ive been looking for a good PDF organizer during the past two weeks. I've tried Paper and Sente, both apps you need to pay for nor was I fully happy about their functioning. Then a friend of mine told me about Mendeley reference manager. Not only is it free, it beats the others, especially in ease of use.

I am not that active on these forums, but I thought this was worth sharing.
Check it out if you want: http://www.mendeley.com/

Thanks for your sharing. I was wandering for such information. I will try it and hope that your recommended PDF organizer will make me happy too!

I use Mendeley--I run a group on it. Great for crowd sourcing references. However, IMO it is no Sente, which I use and love. Sente's ability to interrogate and capture references from online databases and then download and attach the corresponding PDF is excellent. Then read/take notes/annotate. I have Sente on both Mac and iPad, syncs easily between the two. (I also have Mendeley on both.)
