iPad 3 capacitor grid visible

I just purchased a new iPad 3 and am loving it so far. However Ive noticed that its capacitor touch grid is pretty clearly visible in certain lighting conditions. This is my first iPad so Im not sure if this is considered normal. I would just like to know if this is a normal occurence to set my mind at ease.

This is normal. All iOS devices are like this when viewed under certain lighting conditions. I've noticed it on bright sunlight with the screen off and tilted 45 degrees from the sun.
 
Awesome. The only reason it struck me as strange is that it is way more visible than on my iphone 4 screen. On the iphone I actually have to try and find it when with the ipad it is MUCH more easy to see. sometimes I can even see it with the screen on and on full brightness if im outside.
 
I can't see the grid on iPhones and iPads but I can definitely see it on the HP TouchPads.
 
I have never seen it on iPhones, iPods or iPads. First day of handling a Kindle Fire I spotted it within a couple minutes.
 
yeah it is very hard to spot on the ipad most of the time. The only reason I saw it in the first place was because I was looking for any defects in my newly installed screen protector under a bright flourescent light.

Having perfect vision is not really required. Just viewing at the right angle under the correct lighting will display this feature. I can see it with ease, even without my glasses.
