My black leather Smart Cover from last year works ok on the new iPad, even the sleep/wake function. But the magnets in general aren't quite as magnetic. When closed, the cover shifts a bit, and it becomes detached at the spine noticeably more easily.

So the question is, do I pony up for a new one? I realize the magnetic polarity is now standardized, but I feel like the polarity on my current one is ok...otherwise the sleep/wake wouldn't work. Is this correct?

Has anyone replaced a last year's version with a new one and noticed a stronger attachment?

I just got me a smart cover a couple of days ago and i do not think there are any difference at all....
