I understand the my Macbook Pro required RAM clocked at 667 Mhz but I have also heard of RAM that downclocks itself from like 800Mhz to 667Mhz. Now I was looking to upgrade my 2GB to 4GB of RAM because I would like to upgrade my current laptop for college instead of buying a new one. So My question is can I use DDR3 1066Mhz RAM (which is substantually cheaper) in my old macbook pro?

BTW: I have the Early 2008 Macbook Pro 2.4Ghz
