Hi all:

We'll be travelling to the US in May and I'm hoping to pick up a VZW iPad but I have a question about paying for the data.

I do not have US billing address for my credit/debit card, is it possible to pay for the data using a gift card from say Walmart? I have done a lot of research on prepaid debit cards, but during the Bush Administration, all financial institutions require you to have a SSN while registering.

We will be in the US for about three weeks and most of the places we'll be travelling to are covered by VZW's LTE. It would also be useful to use the iPad as a hotspot.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I've seen people pay their bills in the Verizon store before, so I'd assume this would be possible if you went to a B&M.
