Best educational titles on the iPad for a 7 year old child?

I'm going to be picking up an iPad 2 next week as my wife and I can imagine it would be a great little educational machine for us to play on and we are after some suggestions on which apps would be good for her?

She's been reading Kindle books on my Transformer too so it'll be doubling up as an ereader as well which is a benefit.

She does extra Drama classes after school and is also learning to play the guitar so reading and music apps would also be a benefit for her. With regards to any English educational apps, British English would be preferred for spellings and some terminology.
