ok im looking at cheap imacs and all of the sites i look at are scams. what are some no scam sites that sell really cheap imacs? thanks! also... no ebay or craigslist and i am looking for a NEW item. thanks in advance guys!

im in the us. oh and thanks ill check macmall

I'd assumed you knew about the Apple Refurb store; they're basically good as new. If not, that would obviously be the best place to get a discounted Mac. :p

I got my first iPad from the Refurb store and it was great.

Another avenue might be your schools computer store/ tech department if you're in university or similar. Sometimes they have a good deal every now and then.

ya i looked at refurb and i really want a 300 dollar box with the product lol! no i want the box with it thats the thing....

any other sites?

does anyone know of any sites that arent scams?

Not really. Do you really want to get a current and new Mac for 300 USD? If so, you are out of luck, as no one sells it for that low. I could even sell my 2008 MacBook with four months warranty left on it in 2011 for 500 € (650 USD).

And maybe wait more than just 30 minutes before bumping your thread. It is late afternoon to evening in the US, and it is Saturday. Many people might have other things to do than visit here.

Well no I said nothing about 300 dollars???
I just tok that number from here.

My range is like less than 1000
Then there is one 2011 iMac for 999 USD and one 2010 i3 iMac for 929 USD available on that Refurb Store.

But since there are many iMac models available (21.5" i5 iMac to 27" i7 iMac), you need to hunt more. But the sites we linked you to are the ones with the lowest prices for reputable resellers, as they want to have some profit too.

There are not any other sites/shops out there that sell for less, otherwise it would be pretty well known.

This site is so obvious that it's not reputable! It's a hotmail email address, and the phone isn't set up for support. It is copyright though but still this site is NOT REPUTABLE! Well that's one site off my list

You're not going to do any better than MacMall, Amazon or Apple Refurbished.

Those are pretty much your best choices. Any place charging noticeably less than those 3 places would have to be looked at very carefully for scams and such.

what about best buy/ any of those stores?

Sometimes BestBuy has sales but they don't usually get better prices than what I've already mentioned.

I heard Best Buy has great open box deals, you just have to look for a while then you'll find what your looking for
The problem with open boxes at various stores (including BestBuy) is you don't know why it's been returned. If there's anything wrong with it. And if everything is in the box.

Also with an open box like that you would want to do a clean install to make sure you don't have crud left over from whomever bought it before.
